La Noisette Sweets - Berkeley

Every pastry was absolutely delightful. I ordered a variety on Wednesday to share with friends visiting from Southern California. Each one featured fresh berries and fruits, some with almond paste and one adorned with pistachios. The Danish pastries were particularly charming, filled with mango and passion fruit. The special croissants, filled with chocolate and hazelnut, were simply luscious.

Delicious French pastries in a charming little shop! I took a day off on a Wednesday and finally made it here. I had a chocolate almond croissant, a kouign amann, and a croque monsieur danish. Everything was perfectly crisp and buttery. I probably wouldn't order the chocolate almond croissant again since the almond filling was overly sweet and it was quite small compared to the one from Fournee. However, the kouign amann might be my favorite so far (and that's saying a lot coming from someone who is a big fan of Starter Bakery). I can't wait to return and try more!

The best pastries I have had outside of Europe. Alain is a true master! My favorites are too many to list.

Delicious baked pieces and he went out of mine to deliver freshly baked were on a day when I wanted to wear a sweet tasty bite with friends on the land.

Imagine visiting an old tante or oncle in a cabin in europa (lol and share a meal that cooked them with seasonal vegetables and pastures from their garden. this is the ambiente, so warm and comfortable sitting are outside limited, so most sitting on the concrete benches(? the elevated areas on the civic platform. families and friends sitting, chit chat, while eating from here enjoy. a visit worth and try them safely
