L'epoque - Berck

Pro: Nice location, friendly and helpful staff. Extensive menu, willing to adapt the menu for a vegetarian diet. Con: the food and presentation/ plating is quite average/ disappointing. For example the assiette de crudite is like a side dish salad, and the fromage was just a piece of average Camembert with some salad.

Very tasty and good value food.Ripped off for small coffee at 2.40 euros! Very good mussels. Dessert was wrong but soon corrected.

Visited Berck for lunch our way back to ferry. Being November it was mostly closed however found L'Epoque on the promenade which had an encouraging number of diners. We liked the traditional decor of wood panelling and mirrors. The menu was also traditional with lunchtime menu for E14. We had moules, steak frites and creme caramel. Simple but perfect.

Nice and smiling staff, helpful. small dish on fries served with the main dish. about ten, not very hot, and we'd be more pirogues. Thankfully, there was bread. Otherwise, the main dishes were good.

Very good meal with friends, good value quality price.
