Spiesberger's Alpenkuche Im Haus Der Berge Berchtesgaden

Wir haben hier Kaffee & Kuchen genossen. Die Watzmanntorte war lecker, der Kaffee allerdings hat fast gekocht. Ambiente ist super und der Service total nett.

Sehr schön traditionell-modern in Holz gestaltetes Restaurant und Café mit großartiger Sicht auf die Berge, sowohl vom Innenraum und natürlich auch von der Terasse. Etwas teurer.

We were big fans of Spiesberger's in the town centre - which was a really quaint little cafe with the friendliest lady behind the counter. Sadly, that cafe has now closed - clearly the owner is focusing on the one in Haus der Berge, which is understandable but we did prefer the smaller, cosier place. The style here is very similar - we even recognised some of the same decorative items. It's traditional Bavarian but in a light and modern, slightly quirky way. Lots of light wood and red and white gingham. They had a good choice of cakes and the food menu sounded good. Lots of the unique Watzmann chocolates and pasta shapes they're famous for too - great for souvenirs. We only had coffee and cake - an eierlikor and schokolade cake that was very yummy - and we were very pleased. The only thing that detracted at all, really, is that the place doesn't have a great atmosphere - it's quite large and very clearly aimed at tourists, as you'd expect in a museum. And, although the staff were very helpful, they didn't quite have the warmth we associated with the Spiesberger name. Still, it was very nice and has stunning views. We'd certainly recommend it, especially if you're up out of town (we were staying at Haus am Berg) and don't fancy going all the way down the hill for a coffee. You don't have to buy a museum ticket to call into the cafe.

Schöne, liebevolle Einrichtung, toller Ausblick, unübliche Speisen, gut gemacht. Aber was für uns das absolute Erlebnis war: Die Bedienung! Wir haben leider versäumt nach ihrem Namen zu fragen. Aber sie ist wirklich super, hat ihren Job genau richtig getroffen. Wenn ihr mal einen schlechten Tag hattet, geht da hin essen, dann ist wieder alles gut :-)

Essen lecker, aber hervorzuheben ist die super nette Bedienung von denen es zu wenige gibt. Man fühlt sich dort sehr wohl,kommen gerne wieder.
