Triple Eight Hashery - Bentonville

I wanted to like this place but I don't think I'll ever be back unless there's something specific I'd want on the menu. Had the big bao, wasn't impressed. Lots of tough fat parts of the pork inside and didn't really make sense to have the carrots on top of it in my opinion. They fell right off.The Lotus wrap was ok... didn't have flavor in every bite. For $6 could have had a few more tiny shrimp. Only had 2. Lots of bites were just steamed rice. Pork inside didn't have much flavor.I really liked the shrimp/pork shu Mai, came with the classic sriracha hoisin combo... but $2 per is pretty darn high pricing in my opinion, even for Bentonville. I've had it for less in Chicago, after the brunt of covid, and more in that serving as well. Carrots topped this too, which also didn't make sense to me.Had to wait a while to get service, even with only 1 person ahead of me. Maybe I just showed up at the wrong time... seemed to be a real estate person and talked to (who I presume to be) the owner about something. Owner then had to figure out some things on the computer.I would suggest roll and fold instead. Didn't have a satisfying lunch. Wasn't worth all the wait I had. Left wanting more. Wish we had more dim sum in the area and appreciate that these guys are trying to offer that though. I didn't have any sweet bao but I know they'd be awesome... however, rating what I ordered.

So many excellent vegetarian options! Everything is awesome!!

I would have liked to have had a different variety. A little to eclectic for my tastes.

Food was yummy! I believe my favorite is the Potato Pancakes! I can't remember the actual name for it. Dim sums are okay, it's not handmade so it's a bit pricey for a couple of pieces.

Really good dim sum. I've gotten a few things to go before but ordered a full tray of things this time to eat there. Everything was really good but the okonomi pancake and the sesame balls really stood out this time.
