The Flying Pig Airport Diner

Charming family-run diner located near the airport, The Flying Pig specializes in sandwiches and pizza, offering both dine-in and takeout options. Although they previously provided delivery services, they have not resumed this since reopening after the pandemic (at least not yet). The staff is friendly and clearly enjoys their work, contributing to a delightful atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the environment during my visit. My husband ordered the chicken, Cheddar, and Speck hoagie, while I opted for the Italian meatball sandwich. To our surprise, the portions were larger than we anticipated, and we both savored our meals. Each sandwich comes with a choice of either macaroni salad or coleslaw, along with chips. We chose macaroni salad for both sides, and the chips were Great Lakes brand, produced in Traverse City. I’m eager to return to try one of their pizzas, which are an affordable $12 for a 16-inch cheese pizza. If you find yourself near Benton Harbor, I highly recommend stopping by The Flying Pig.

The food here is incredibly tasty, and the service is outstanding. I enjoy coming here for a fantastic pizza or one of the best sandwiches you'll ever taste. If you find yourself nearby, I highly recommend stopping by. Your stomach will thank you!

Really good food at reasonable prices. Open Monday to Friday at 8 a.m. Try it once and you will be back.

Some coworkers and I found out a couple weeks ago what we 've been missing after driving past this place for years. Good service and some of, if not 'the ', best sandwiches in the area! Not just huge, but packed with flavor (no bland, cheap foodservice ingredients, as far as I can tell). So far, we 've had the Parmesan meatball, the Italian Philly steak, the olive burgers, and gyros. We 've already been there twice this week, and it 's only Wednesday?! Can 't wait until winter hours when they 're open later so I can pick up a pizza on my way home from work to try.
