Houndstooth - Benton Harbor

Found this restaurant by chance during our first visit to Benton Harbor. I didn't have high expectations, but the food truly impressed me. The service from our server was also fantastic.

So... at first we were pretty intimidated by the menu. Very sophisticated descriptions that even someone that went to culinary school had no idea what any of the dishes were. So we came close to just having a drink and going to our usual places in st joe. But decided to just take a chance and order a few random things. We were soooo glad we did! Everything was soooo flavorful and there was so much thought put into each dish. We are soo happy we stayed and took a chance because we will most definitely be back! Fresh high quality ingredients with flavors that will make you extremely pleased.

This is truly an exceptional dining experience! The presentation and flavors are just incredible! This is not a restaurant to be missed! The service is also wonderful! No other restaurant in the area provides an experience as special as the Houndstooth!

An absolute gem! The food is impeccably executed. We enjoyed martinis, Ahi Tuna, Buffalo Tartare, Crunchy Potatoes, Halibut, Passionfruit Panna Cotta, Malted Ice Cream. Menu changes often, which reflects the expertise of the chefs.

We dined here for dinner. Amazing menu. New American cuisine with an Asian flair. BYOB allowed. Lively vibe. Food was incredible. Fantastic service. Big city quality in a small town. Multiple small plates. Halibut and slow steak to die for.
