States Coffee - Benicia

Terrible customer service! Two men and one woman were on shift. I went in with my four children to get breakfast. Ordered our food that totaled $58.00. I was paying cash and they refused to accept my $50.00. (I was paying with a $50 and $20)I explained I only have cash to pay them and they told me to use a card. I repeated that I did not have a card and only cash. Needless to say we left and my kids missed breakfast. So much for trying to support a small business.

There was no line but they took 20 minutes before they even got to my order and I had to go. I told them I was canceling and no refund offered, they just told me to keep waiting for my turn. I just left, of course tip is charged upfront, and no mocha, just a do ation to States Coffe.

We all had the Avocado Toast and it was delicious! The bread was toasted and a whole grain of some kind which added to the deliciousness!

Great avocado toast! Good cashew butter and coffee. That's all I've ever had. I did get my daughter/ g daughter donuts one day and they said they were stale.

It's fine, but honestly WAY too overpriced for my taste. Cinnamon toast is something like 5 dollars and all the coffees are good but nothing super special are
