De la Cuisine au Jardin - Benfeld

We were on bycicle tour in Benfeld and wanted something to eat. Could not find. We asked and a lady pointed out this restaurant. We could sit in the garden in the shade. It was nicely crowded with mostly locals which is always a good sign. We ordered the lunch of the day and a nice dry Rieszling wine. The food was excellent and so the atmosphere. It looks like a family business. Go there and you will not be disappointed.

This is an expandable restaurant with rooms and a garden that can be opened as demand increases. On the night we visited there were only a small number of tables occupied so the ambiance was cosy-ish. Service from the proprietor and his young assistant was friendly and attentive and the food was pretty good, and the bill was reasonable. There is not a lot of restaurant choice in the villages around this area so this place was a welcome oasis.

Excellente initiative que ce menu spécial " autour du Jardin" justement ce week-end où des jardins particuliers des environs s'ouvrent au public.Nous avons apprécié autant le cadre agréable que les mets qui dévoilent une petite attirance pour l'Italie .Cela n'empêche pas de prendre en apéritif une petite bière de Matten parfumée à l'aspérule : un breuvage onctueux.Merci encore pour votre accueil.
