Baldy's Barbeque - Bend

The only reason I didn't give this restaurant a one-star rating is because of the server/manager, who provided excellent service. However, the food was quite disappointing. We ordered the whole smoked chicken with coleslaw and cornbread. The chicken was very tough, making it difficult to chew, and it lacked flavor. Overall, it was a letdown, especially considering the high prices for what we received.

The ribs, burnt ends, and sides were excellent. However, the chicken and brisket were just mediocre. The chicken, served with an unusual sauce, was dry, while the brisket was acceptable but nothing special. I wasn't particularly fond of the two sauces; I prefer barbecue that doesn't require sauce, as it seemed like the meat needed extra moisture. Overall, it's still good barbecue, but not quite great.

Pork great. Ribs alright. Coleslaw is delicious!!! Sauce is good too. I wish they did a chopped brisket instead of just sliced.

Holy cow, I didn't expect it. This place blew us away, we know BBQ and this place is BBQ! Meat smokey tender and flavorful, sauce was on point. Sides couldn't have been better I recommend the fired okra which was crisp and delicious and the Mac which was cheesy gooey and creamy definitely made with quality cheeses. I can't say enough good things about this place , yes I will definitely be going back. We might make another special trip just to get food here, in the near future.

By far one of the most negative dining experience I have ever had. The waitress were bickering and fighting all night. The young lady out of the 3 that were on the floor was the only one being quiet and she seemed to be taking the brunt of the anger. Service was extremely slow. Food was sub par. Pictures of our sauce covered wings. This place is not what it used to be. I understand COVID has an effect on things, but I can get better service at McDonald?s from a teenager with a social disorder. Absolutely ridiculous. I walked out and actually went to the McDonald?s right across the road because it was so terrible. I was charged 9.99 for the one wing I ate?.
