Virgen Del Mar - Benalmádena

I love the chiringuito's that line the seafront of the Costa Del Sol ,my twin brother Stephen and I were holidaying in Benalmádena and visited quite a few on our weeks holiday here ,one of the best was Virgen Del Mar. This is an excellent looking chiringuito ,interior is light ,bright and airy ,a cool looking serving bar ,lovely decor and furnishings and lots of seating both inside and outside looking out onto the beautiful Mediterranean Sea,it's just a great place to chill out in. We were here on a roasting hot early afternoon,we sat outside were we ordered a flat white coffee each,these were served steaming hot ,we kicked back ,chilled out and took in the great chiringuito we were in. Coffee served here was spot on ,from the first sip till till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve,it was just so good being in such a great chiringuito enjoying a quality coffee and being in such a great location. We really enjoyed our coffee's sat outside here before we moved on and as on every previous visit to here we had a great time. Virgen Del Mar is easy to locate along Paseo Maritimo on Carretera Cadiz. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday ,open from midday . Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Merendero Virgen Del Mar is a really good chiringuito on Carretera Cádiz that offer a really good food and drinks range and is a great beach-bar in a superb area. A chiringuito is a Spanish beach-bar and if you walk along the beach-front's you'll see many of these superb beach-bars and this one was one of the first we visited this year on our holiday in Benalmádena. We have visited many of these beach-bars on all our visits to the Costa Del Sol as they stretch from Málaga to Fuengirola and this chiringuito is as good as all the others that we have visited over the years. This one has a brilliant look and feel with a brilliant outside terrace.It's very distinctive with many interesting fixtures and features and a sardine grill wafting the smells of the sardines'its an excellent place to relax and unwind with a meal or a drink. We went here around midday and it wasn't really that busy as I think that they had just opened up.We sat out-side as it was a very warm day and ordered a few drinks.On our visit we had a couple of cups of coffee with milk which were superb and well priced. This is a brilliant chiringuito is a great area of Benalmádena and is very easy to get to from Avda.Las Palmeras bus stop it's a few minutes walk away.(This is my first review of Merendero Virgen Del Mar). We went here for lunch twice during our 7 night break as we absolutely loved the food the first time. The location is lovely as you are right next to the beach. The staff were friendly, and the food well priced. We had the prawn kebabs which were superb, as were the fish bites and red snapper. It was very busy both times we visited and we sat indoors, but you can sit outside if you want and see the fish etc being barbecued. Lovely place.

Buena comida, excelente la calidad pero no nos ha gustado que estando todas las mesas libres re obliguen a estar en la barra de pie por qué no vayas a comer, aún pidiendo un espetó con cervezas 18 € no son suficientes para sentarte. Un cero. Lástima porque es uno de nuestros sitios favoritos para comer
