Subway - Belvidere

I typically enjoy eating at Subway, but I had a disappointing experience during my last visit. I saw a large sign advertising a 6-inch meal deal for $8.99 which included a drink and a side item. However, when I ordered two of these meal deals, our total came to $13.00 each. The employee at the store said they were unable to ring up a meal deal and had to charge us for each item separately. Unfortunately, contacting corporate Subway did not resolve the issue.

I would like to speak to the owner because the girl working the night shift seemed to have little interest in customer service. I ordered the veggie delight sandwich and she gave me a small portion of it, charging me full price. When I questioned why she charged me that price for such a small portion, she added a little more but mostly lettuce. As a Canadian truck driver who has traveled all over the USA, I have had good experiences at Subway locations, but this one seems to be an exception. She could definitely use some lessons in courtesy.

The restaurant was clean and the customer service was great. I will definitely return again.

The guy told smashed avocado is extra which is normal but added such a small amount that it looked like a bird’s dropping. When i asked if he could add a little bit more he charged me for double avocado which took me by surprise.Tldr: i ended up spending double for a miniscule amount of avocado.

Was not impressed. Food was really overpriced, the bread and veggies were not fresh, and when I paid by credit card, the cashier working decided she had earned a tip and reached across from the register to the credit card machine and gave herself a 20% tip.I was in a hurry and didn't want to waste time reversing a $2.00 tip nor do I want to waste time disputing a $2.00 charge with my credit card company. I'm all for tipping and would have tipped her, but she should not be reaching across and giving herself a tip. She was lightening fast doing that too, definitely not the first time she has done that.Between this place being so low quality and the Starbucks no longer being in the Oasis, I will be finding another pit stop on I-90 before I reach Chicago. This used to be my go to stop before I hit Chicago, it will be no longer.
