St. James Gate - Belmont

Cute fun spot! We stopped for a drink on our walk exploring the city

Food was average, but nothing to write home about. Fish and chips were dry, dense and greasy. But the cornbeef sandwich was ok. Waitress was slow and had to ask for water multiple times. A little pricey for what you get. Bar atmosphere looked cool but I went for lunch on a work day.

Spot was decent, but perhaps I went on a weird day. Didn't get a chance to check out the outside area (seemed closed). Beer selection is average. I feel like I should go back and give this spot another try.

Great vibe, friendly staff and tasty nachos. Trivia night is fun, just need to throw shade at people who use their phones to get answers c'mon man...

I had no idea about this place having stayed so close to this place for about a year and a half. I regret not going here before. This place has amazing vibes. I love classic rock and got to witness a really nice band perform here the day I visited. I like the backyard section of this place too. It was cozy next to the fire pit. They have a great collection of drinks as well. : I particularly loved their Brussels sprouts. Kinda perfect for a first date.
