Contribuiți la feedbackDriving around the shore on a beautiful day, we decided to give JSBBQ a shot. Seating is a bit limited here but we were able to get a seat at the counter no problem. We ordered the Funky burger topped w/cheddar, thick cut house smoked bacon, and jalepeno honey sauce, sliced brisket, original nachos w/pulled chicken, side of collard greens and side of mac n cheese. Don't let the name mislead you because there ain't nothin funky about this burger! It was as tasty as it sounds and one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The nachos are huge and can easily feed 3 4 people definitely recommend. The mac n cheese was shells and what tasted like white cheddar really freaking good. The collards were kind of bland. The brisket was fine but a bit overcooked for my liking. Gotta give it up to them for their customer service and fantastic shirts, my two favorites being the Check Your Head and Abbey Road album covers that include the band members with the heads of pigs. This is definitely a place where I'd like to work my way through the menu and hopefully score one of those cool shirts!
It 's been a while since we have been here, but BBQ was calling our name!! So here we are on our day off, indulging in another fantastic lunch, just Mini-Me and I at her favorite BBQ spot. Starting with the mac n ' cheese with BACON!!! OHHSO DELISH!! Ribs, burnt ends, pulled pork.. it was all out feasting.. but wait, they are adding a possible new Cuban sandwich to the menu and we sampled it. IT GETS 2 THUMBS UP!! .. And we ended with root beer floats and an orange creme shake!! Thank you for another wonderful afternoon, lovin ' the BBQ!! And Great service, still 100%. Mini-Me ssys, Get on over here and have some BBQ!
Its not Tennessee. Its not North Carolina. Its not Texas. Who the F cares. Its the jersey shore, with the most delicious bbq pork ribs, bbq beef ribs, beans, cucumber salad...and fn awesome bbq sliced brisket. Its the jersey shore. Its a must-hit bbq joint. Its America.
There 's something about proximity to water (and the tourist trade) that encourages mediocrity. Mouth watering descriptions overflow the plate but the actual portions are fit for a supermodel. The mac and cheese was creamy but the buffalo quesadilla was about as dry as a Bavarian comedy club. High marks for the Caesar salad nudges our lunchtime adventure up to a three but my Magic 8 Ball reports that prospects for a return visit remain cloudy at best.
Pretty good spot for bbq. They have a ton of options to choose from. To make it easy we did the 3 meat sampler with a bunch of sides. For the meat we got ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. My favorite was definitely the ribs. They offer 6 different types of sauces which is perfect because I like a little meat with all the sauce. The corn bread was fantastic- very fresh so I was highly impressed. We also split a side of mac n cheese unfortunately I could not have any so I have no opinion. However we had the sweet potato fries and they were excellent they kind of reminded me of being tempura fried- they were sweet too. I would go back just wish it was a little closer
