Le Chat Noir - Bellingham

We decided to share the fondue, which offered plenty for two. However, the cheese was a bit too avant-garde for our taste, having a different consistency than the typical pub cheese. It was accompanied by a side of Brussels sprouts, which I highly recommend! For our main courses, I had the pot roast and my wife opted for the stroganoff. Both dishes presented unique twists on classic hearty meals, and our plates were generously filled with food and flavor, leaving us very satisfied. We ended our meal by sharing a crème brûlée, settled our bill, and made our way down the three flights of stairs with full bellies. Overall, this restaurant is worth the prices on the menu, and if you’re lucky, you'll experience excellent service. I recommend making a reservation, as the wait for a table can be as long as an hour. If you decide not to call ahead, just be prepared to be patient, especially if the bar is busy.

Charming restaurant located on the third floor of the Sycamore Square building. It’s a popular spot with fantastic views of the neighborhood, especially if you manage to get a window seat. Be prepared for a possible wait, but there are plenty of shops to explore while you do. There are also a couple of art galleries on the same floor, or you can find a bench to relax on. I ordered the Halibut filet with a lemon dill sauce, and if you enjoy lemon, this dish is a must-try. However, the standout for me was definitely the Brussels sprouts. They were roasted, tossed with bacon, and drizzled in a balsamic reduction. I would happily return every day just for those sprouts!

Eventually, our server came by to ask if we wanted more drinks, and we took that opportunity to inquire about our food. She admitted she had forgotten about it and promised to bring it out as soon as it was ready. Unfortunately, we continued to wait without any updates, and after a total of one hour and fifteen minutes since our arrival, we decided enough was enough. We tried to seek out the check from a busser, but it seemed like he didn't communicate with our server. Finally, we went to the host at the front, who was able to assist us. Ultimately, we decided to leave and find another place to eat. While I appreciate supporting local businesses, I also value timely service and receiving my food. I feel we waited a generous amount of time, yet still left without our meals. I won't be returning to the Black Cat in the future.

Located on the 3rd floor of a Historic Building , this cozy restaurant has a Cool Vibe. The food was So Good! The Mac n Cheese Epic!! The steamed clams and Crab Cakes cooked to perfection. Our Server Emily was so kind and personable. She was knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations.. the crew at the restaurant seemed to work well together and help each other out . That's always nice to see .. Definitely going back.. and bringing Friends.

Went in for HH and had Great drinks, fantastic food, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
