Roma Italian - Bellevue

I was recommended to try Roma's restaurant by my 80-year-old Italian neighbor, whose parents immigrated from Italy by boat. When I asked him for the best authentic Italian food in Omaha, he mentioned that the classic Italian family restaurants are no longer around, but he suggested Roma's. I decided to give it a try, and I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and affordable prices. The portions were generous, so I ended up taking half of my meal home, which was a bonus. Just a heads up for anyone considering dining there.

The restaurant offers large portions, friendly staff, and uses fresh ingredients! I highly recommend trying the tortellini a la panna with crispy chicken, the fried calamari, and the spinach dip. The dip was especially tasty and perfect for those who love garlic - I was pleasantly surprised to discover it also had chicken in it! I am looking forward to returning for another visit.

We tried the Spinach Dip with chicken and it was delicious. We also ordered Eggplant Parmigiana, Eggplant Rollatini, and a bottle of CK Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine. Everything was outstanding! Our server Shelbi was also very pleasant and did a great job.

I was extremely impressed with this restaurant. I have grown tired of always eating Italian food, which has been a staple in my life for so long. However, when my daughter-in-law suggested we go to Roma for lunch, I was pleasantly surprised. My expectations for taste are very high, and Roma exceeded them in every way. From the attentive service of our server Montana to the cozy atmosphere, everything was perfect. The flavors in the dishes were exactly what I expect from authentic Italian cuisine, unlike many other places I have tried. The marinara sauce was even better than my own recipe, and the garlic knots served with it were delicious. I will definitely be ordering them again. Both my daughter-in-law and I ordered the combo platter, which included lasagna, tortellini, manicotti, and ziti, all topped with mozzarella and marinara. The presentation was simple yet inviting. We finished our meal with a slice of limoncello marscapone cake, which was light yet satisfying. I will definitely be returning to Roma for another meal. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Roma is a relatively new addition to our family's selection of restaurants. The interior has been renovated and offers a nice update. The restaurant is always filled with friendly and helpful staff. They have a small bar and a menu with a variety of classic dishes. The only downside, in my opinion, is the parking situation. It is on the smaller side, the lines need to be repainted, and it can be tight when the restaurant is busy. Overall, a great dining option.
