We returned based on a recommendation from the Senior Manager, but to our surprise, our table was cleared while we were still enjoying our meal and hadn't yet paid our bill. It felt as though our presence was more of an inconvenience while we stepped away to enjoy some arcade games that cost us over a hundred dollars. They took it upon themselves to clean our table and finalize our bill without considering our needs. It’s going to be tough to return to this restaurant. I hope future guests have a better experience! On a more positive note, when I first visited, it was an absolute pleasure! There was never a dull moment, and the service was always top-notch! The table-side/no-contact ordering is a fantastic step forward for the food and beverage industry! With just a quick scan of the QR code at the table, your food magically appears! There were a few glitches since the place had just opened, but Senior Manager James G. was phenomenal—he was warm and welcoming, making us feel at home! His team seemed genuinely happy to be there, and he truly embodies the D B brand. Kudos to him! I will definitely return and recommend this spot to others! Oh, and speaking of excellent service, on our first day, Antony was just as impressive and echoed the values of the D B brand! He even gave me permission to take a photo! Antony is exceptional—thank you, D B, for having such wonderful people on your team! Never change! As for my most recent experience on 2/18/22, I went from giving this place a 5-star rating down to 2 stars, but now I’m happily back at 5! I thought I’d never come back after a prior visit, but I realized that special memories were made here with my niece and nephews. This time, a kind and attentive host named Tonya turned things around for us! She went above and beyond, reaching out to her manager Erik to ensure my nephews and niece received a token of appreciation for their loyalty. Thank you both, Tonya and Erik, for your exceptional service! However, I still find some inconsistencies in the service. I spoke with Laurisa, who mentioned I would receive a text, but when I inquired, I noticed other patrons being seated before me. There’s room for improvement in training all staff to ensure a consistently great experience for everyone.
Unfortunately, they ran out of watermelon purée for the strawberry frosé, but the bartender offered to substitute it with mango purée. The drink was served in a large glass and was absolutely delicious! We also appreciated getting to keep the leftover can of rosé wine. I have to say, I was quite amused by the changing color straw! The food was a pleasant surprise! We had pretzel dogs (there were only three in the picture because we were hungry, but there are actually five), voodoo pasta (which looked great and tasted good, though it was on the saltier side and the pasta was slightly overcooked), and we also ordered a chicken burger. Just a heads-up for anyone who can’t handle spicy food: everything we ordered had a kick to it! However, the chicken was flavorful and tender, and both entrées were well-prepared. The games here are a bit on the pricier side, but it is Bellevue, and the place has a fresh and clean vibe with new tables, chairs, and nice ambient lighting. We’ll definitely be back for more arcade fun and to explore more cocktails and food options in the future! Update: I rated it 4 stars (3.5 rounded up because the food was enjoyable and the last server who helped us was much friendlier and more attentive, especially after I expressed my frustration). I returned with my boyfriend and a friend, and when I tried to place a food order, the bartender told me to find a server. After searching the establishment and taking a lap around, I finally found a server who directed me back to the bartender. Additionally, the staff at the entrance didn’t acknowledge us when we left; they seemed too engaged in their own conversation. This time, we also tried the chocolate cake!
I visited this restaurant with some friends, not expecting much, and I'm happy to say we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, and the Happy Hour prices were fantastic, plus there were some entertaining arcade games! Make sure to order the nachos – you won't regret it. I will definitely be coming back and bringing the kids next time.
As for the games, out of the ten premium non-ticket games we tried, four were genuinely out of order. We were also excited to try the VR experience, which comes at an extra cost, but after hitting the call attendant button, we waited 15 minutes, only to end up searching for someone and learning that it was broken too. On a positive note, despite these issues, it felt like typical “new bar syndrome,” and I believe they will work on these problems. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and we spent a lot of time enjoying the games. Even with a few broken machines, we still had a fantastic time! When comparing it to Lucky Strike at Bellevue Square mall, I would choose Dave & Buster's every time. For now, I rate it a 6 out of 10, but I expect that to improve to an 8 or 9 out of 10 within the next year. In conclusion, if you enjoy arcades, good food, drinks, and having a great time with friends, you should definitely check out this Dave & Buster's. Their selection of games kept us smiling throughout our visit!
After waiting over half an hour with no sign of our food, the waiter seemed to have disappeared, and there was no one around to refill our water or iced tea. Finally, I tracked down a manager, who sent another employee to bring us our food. She claimed it had just come up, but it was clear the order had been sitting in the kitchen for a while—the fries were cold, and the burgers had soggy buns. I couldn’t help but wonder if our waiter had clocked out and left without passing on his duties or if he had just quit. When he finally returned to give us the check, he seemed completely unaware of the poor service we had experienced. While we were waiting, a family with small children sat at the bar, which violates Washington state liquor laws. Eventually, an employee came to ask them to leave. I considered reporting them to the Washington State Liquor Control Board but ultimately decided against it. We had expected the arcade to function as a decent restaurant, but it fell short in that regard. I felt a bit like a “Karen” writing this review, yet after reading others, it's clear that the restaurant management hasn't made much effort to improve the situation.
