Reserved a birthday cake for next day pickup. When arrived the store, there was two lines, one for checkout and the other one for pickup. I first went to the pickup lane but nobody helped me for a while. So I stepped into the checkout line. When I approached an employee and inform her that I'm here to pickup a cake, she was confused, asking me if it's an online order? Then I got the cake, and just the cake. No utensils, no plates, no candles. I asked “how will we eat the cake without plates and utensils?” An impatient rude customer behind me shouted, “just go to a restaurant and ask for a plate there.” It was my worst experience buying a birthday cake. I used to order from Regent Bakery, prime service and delicious cake, but this year a friend of mine recommended me to try 85°C. Never again.
Covid is over and thie cafe still refuses to hire more than 1 cashier. Line is long. Almost always need to wait 20 mins.I have read other comments, and it seems like the owner of this bakery's only response is how popular this bakery is and suggests to use online service. But even order online, people still need to wait in line. This is kind of sad.
Not bad bakery stuff, their cakes are good but it boring. However the service is great and the atmosphere is good for a nice light breakfast with coffee and
The pastry is really good and not too sweet. I really like the mango cake here, it has little pieces of mango and the cream is really light. The sponge is moist as well. The egg tart is a bit oily but very flavorful. The wait line is often long though.
