P Diddys Diner - Belle Plaine

Had the BLT plenty of bacon and French fried were just the right amount of salt. The waitress was very friendly and quick to help

The food is a 5. I've never had a bad meal here. I gave it a 4 because it can take awhile. One cook and one waitress. They get a little swamped. Great Mexican food, the standard American dinners: chicken fry (very good size), Roast beef (to die for), Ham steak (generous portion with pineapple). Friendly.

If capitalism works, and it does, David' Diner will soon go bankrupt. I've tried it five times. Twice it wasn't very good. The other three times it tested my gag reflex. Each time the service has been slow. I get the feeling that customers are an inconvenience for the extraordinarily slovenly staff. Three times, I've left and driven to another restaurant to eat. David's Diner is that disgusting. One of their Mexican plates, the carne asada was barely tolerable only because the beans were good. The meat was grotesque and the rice disgusting. It is the only diner in town but gas station pizza, or jerky potato chips are far superior dining experiences to David's Diner. Five times is three more than I should have tried it. I could say I gave it the benefit of the doubt. However, after two visits, no doubt existed. My altruism towards this restaurant is over. The breakfasts there are akin to syrup of ipecac! Hashbrowns are particularly disgusting and the toast is made with month old bread. The eggs taste as if they were laid during the Obama years. Ask for salsa I thought, it might mask the cooked on an old grill taste. It was delivered ice cold. Who wants to put ice cold salsa on anything? While being servers, cooks, and keeping a restaurant clean are definitely not spiritual gifts of the staff, they are nice people. They're just really bad at their jobs. Hopefully, bankruptcy will come swiftly and these nice folks can find a way to spend their time where they enjoy at least minimal competency.

Well don't know about the food. Walked in. Stood around for about 10 minutes and never had anyone come sit us. So we left.
