Trapper's Kettle - Belfield

We've been traveling for a few days to get gas. He asked for the lunch recommendation that this place was good. There were many cars, so we went in. Trapper? Kettle was so interesting. The wild animals were everywhere. So many so big. They showed different trappers. Traps were displayed on walls. Very interesting. The menu was big. The food was good. The ice was good. Iced tea in North Dakota! How wonderful!! The service was good. You should go!

The hot beef ordered, fries that came with him were a bit over boiled, but the salad bar was great. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was great. I will definitely be back

We stopped for lunch on Monday afternoon at 12:40. We wanted to sit down. Many tables had not been cleared, but we found a round table in the corner for 5. We waited 20 minutes and no one welcomed us, or gave us menus. It looked like there was only 1 waitress and although she looked in our direction, she never came by. I wouldn't recommend it.

Here at lunch. We ordered and waited for our food for 25 minutes, not even with our waitress. We finally got their attention and asked for the status of our food. She said Oh went back to the kitchen and came with our lunch. I had the French dip that was lukewarm, and my father had the hot beef sandwich that was cold. We had to fly off our waitress AGAIN and ask how long the food was there because of the temperature. She said it just got up there when she came back. My dad told her it was cold and her only answer was, Oh, okay. Since we had been there at this point for over 45 minutes, we decided to eat only so that we could go back to travel. We haven't seen our waitress after this meeting. She never returned to check-in and we did not receive ANY refills because of their lack of presence. When we were ready to pay, we had to put the AGAIN on the table for our tab, which they put on the table without a word. We also noticed when we waited for people around us who came significantly later when we did get their food at the same time. We're pretty sure our waitress forgot our food and sat under the warmer. The food was decent and would probably have been really good if it had been hot. But the service we received was SO TERRIBLE that I very doubt that we will be back.

Trapper's Kettle is a little place that we will time ourselves to arrive at when we are travelling. We always make sure to stop for a meal. Love the stories that come from everything you see in here.
