Anise - Beirut

I visited this bar during a trip to Beirut from the U.S. in 2019 and have great memories of it. The homemade arak was tasty and elegantly presented, the bartender was helpful, and the atmosphere felt cozy and classy. I truly hope to return one day.

Really great cocktails in a vintage bar. they have got signature cocktails as well. the menu on the wall displays only the names of drinks I mostly never hear of. And I liked every single wone I've tasted. I love the crowd as well.

I've worked hospitality for 20 years and I've visited bars all over the globe and i can honestly say that this is the best cocktail bar I've been to in my life. The cocktails are superb, the barmen skilled and knowledgeable, and the selection of arrak is delightful. We left it up to the barman to select our drinks and each one was better than the next. If in Beirut, do yourself a favour and visit this place. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Very nice and cosy cocktails bar in hip marmekhai, Beirut. The atmosphere is laid back with older crowd who aren't loud and are coming for a good time with conversations rather than getting smashed and start singing (not that theres anything wrong with that but that you can find elsewhere not at Aniss)
