Contribuiți la feedbackThere are no vegan menu options at this restaurant. I ordered a breakfast sandwich thinking it would be vegan, but it contained eggs and cheese. I asked for a replacement, but unfortunately there was no vegan milk available either.
The restaurant is located in a beautiful setting, housed in a three-story baroque building. I tried the delicious cheese sauce chips for the first time, which cost 38rmb. However, I was not impressed with the pizza, priced at 90rmb. It seemed to have tomatoes instead of tomato sauce and the cheese was very mild. The base was interesting, with varying thickness and texture throughout. Overall, it's a decent option if you need a quick bite and are willing to spend a little extra, just don't expect too much.
I am not sure why this restaurant is listed on HappyCow. Like many European-style cafes in Beijing, they offer sandwiches, pasta, and pizza on the menu. Unfortunately, the only vegan options available were a soup or a vegan margherita pizza without cheese, which required a lot of negotiation to order. The extra toppings that were promised were never added, and the pizza, while tasty, resembled more of a ciabatta bread with tomatoes. The only reason I would consider returning is because the quiet and empty atmosphere was ideal for taking a nap.
On our trip to Beijing, we stayed at the Alborada Hostel, just on the street from this cafe. (near Xisi Station) It was the best way to start every day on our trip in Beijing. The first trip there, we had the veggie fries and the veggie pizza. I think we were so excited to have vegetarian food, we went overboard. The frits were a very large bowl with dressing and vegetables on top. We were pretty full and satisfied with the dishes and options! In the morning the coffee was perfect.
There are no vegan options available. I ordered a sandwich to the breakfast that should be vegan, but there were eggs and cheese. I have a new one. no vegan milk available.
