Contribuiți la feedbackLove all the dishes we ordered, particularly the starters. The kangaroo was just so perfectly cooked, it's juicy and sweet. The smoke trouts were also lovely, full of flavours and had the perfect umami.
First of all, I’d like to give a huge kudos, to our server, Rod ! <br/ Rod has truly did, an outstanding job, all night.<br/ My observation comes from, not just with our table, for our anniversary.<br/ But with absolutely everyone, he was serving last night. <br/ You certainly have a star in the making with him !!<br/ Believe me I know, as I used to work in fine dining in the USA, for a celebratory chef.<br/ So I definitely know a great personality for this field of work, when I see an incredible talent, such as him.<br/ <br/ The restaurant itself, is wonderfully styled with its interior design, lighting and table settings. An incredible looking bar set up, with an outstanding wine list. The food was quite excellent, as we tried a few different selections, off the menu. <br/ The highlights would have to be the dessert, which is the chefs specialty and the delicious cos salad. <br/ Overall, we’re definitely looking forward to returning, when we are back to Beechworth.<br/ <br/ Thank you to Rod, the other servers and of course the chef.<br/ <br/ Kind regards <br/ <br/ Glenn
We had the most delicious meal here. Great local ingredients prepared in interesting but not overly complex ways. I had chestnut pasta with rabbit ragu yum! Lots of great local wines to choose from and all in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Staff were terrific. I’d be here all the time if I lived nearby. Love it. <br/
Came here for a quiet dinner while in town for the weekend.<br/ We booked on the day and were only able to get a 6pm sitting as it was a busy long weekend.<br/ The food was tasty and I couldn’t fault anything except the duck fat potatoes which were soft. They should be crunchy.<br/ The ambience in the restaurant was nice and the wine list was interesting with a lot of local choices.<br/ We decided to skip dessert as the place was really quite pricey if you’re having drinks to accompany your food.<br/ The spirits were very reasonably priced but the wine was crazy expensive.<br/ It was a hot evening and the heat in the restaurant was pretty oppressive making us want to leave earlier than we ordinarily would.<br/ But a pretty good experience overall. The eye fillet was a highlight. <br/
We enjoyed our meal here and more than a couple of drinks as it is conveniently located so that the hotel was in walking distance. The atmosphere was nice and cosy and we would happily go back.
