My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time learning to make Japanese street food. I really valued the insights into how culture and cuisine intertwine. I can't wait to return for another class!

I'm not quite sure where to begin. My husband is truly passionate about Japanese culture, so for his birthday, I decided to gift him a sushi-making class. He's even learning the language right now! We ended up chatting with the instructor for so long about the language—she even quizzed him with flashcards!—as well as about food and culture, that we ran out of time to actually make the sushi. Nonetheless, the company was fantastic; she prepared us a wonderful meal, and we now fondly refer to her as our "Japanese Mom." We just left an hour ago, and I'm already in bed enjoying a slice of the cake she sent home with us. This experience has given me a whole new appreciation for the culture, and I couldn't be happier with how thrilled my husband was on his birthday! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this a perfect end to a wonderful birthday weekend!

We attended her Japanese street food class and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was laid-back, and she shared some wonderful cultural insights along with the cooking. We definitely plan to return for one of her other classes. While it's not the cheapest option (though, considering the amount of food we prepared, it's only slightly more expensive than dining at a restaurant), we left feeling satisfied and happy, with recipes we can't wait to try again and a memorable experience. It was completely worth it.

We were searching for a unique team-building event to help us bond and came across Katsumi’s Teaching Kitchen online. We had an amazing time filled with laughter! The summer rolls, California rolls, miso soup, and cake were all delightful, and we learned how crucial the quality and preparation of rice are for making great sushi. Additionally, we discovered how to create a rich Umami flavor in our miso soup. Mori also shared insights about Japanese cuisine and culture, but most importantly, we had an absolute blast that evening. I can't remember the last time I laughed this hard and for such a long time. Thank you, Mori, for such a fun evening!

Highly informative! We gained insights into ingredients, cooking techniques, culture, etiquette, and much more! Everything we prepared was incredibly delicious, particularly the rice and the cake. Mori is exceptionally knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone interested in Japanese cooking or passionate about Japanese culture.
