However, occasionally we will order Mozzarella Sticks on the app and it always has marinara selected for the sauce. You can not even remove it on the app, which is fine by me. So when I pick it up I fully expect to see a packet of marinara when I open the bag. It NEVER happens. So I either have to go back for the sauce or do without. After about 3 times (slow learner) I ask them why and they say it is not on the order. They also said that there is an issue on the app where the sauce doesn't make on the order. It's been well over a year and the issue remains. They know it's an issue but don't care enough about the inconvenience it causes their customers to fix it. Logic would say, if they know it's a problem, either put it in the bag or bring it out and offer it. The fact that it has been a known issue for so long falls on the side of incompetence thus the 2 stars.
I saw a picture of the new pickle Burger and asked if the pickles were fried with breading and the person said yes and I asked if I could just get the fried pickles and he said yes and even brought me out some of the dressing that had the pickles in it. The flavor reminded me of picolos the fried pickle chips that the Sonic sold in the 1970s and early 80s. And also I prefer the pickle slices to the pickle fries, the taste was perfect. Another mention the person taking the order came out to my truck to get the order because I could not hear him over the noise of another car. Absolutely fantastic service.
@Sonic This sonic can NEVER get an order right. I don’t understand it. How does no Mayo Mayo. No gravy with the chicken dinner. No marinara with cheese sticks. Y’all need to actually pay attention to orders before bringing it out. This happens every time. We will be going to Colleyville from now on.
Notice that the food quality is changing in quality. As well as the staff. Orders are continuously wrong and the food desk doesn't taste as good as it used to. Many times they don't bring condiments without you having to ask. There app continuously has issues and they only started allowing you to tip this year on the app which creates a huge problem when the servers come out and you're not able to tip them on the app because you have no cash in your car. I have been requesting that Sonic change this policy for over 2 years. However, they still have tons of glitches in there system and their app needs to be fixed once and for all. I do not recommend most sonics, because the food quality and employee quality has changed dramatically.
I hate giving bad reviews. It makes me feel like a jerk, especially when it's a place I love and have been going to at various locations for over 30 years. However, I've already talked to this location's store manager, corporate, apparently none of that does anything to effect change so I'll just add to the other bad reviews. So. I've lived near this location for 6 years. It wasn't always like this; however, the problems started pre-pandemic so that's not the root of the issue. Unless I'm just getting a drink, my order is never completely correct and at least one item in every order is just subpar. Problems I've experienced: -Tots cooked in old oil -Burger patties that taste old -Ingredients added that are specifically requested be removed -Low quality ingredients Now, I know low quality ingredients may be a pandemic issue, supply being what it is these days. But let's talk about today's order. My burger had a chunk of iceberg lettuce from near the rough part at the bottom, pretty inedible, and it was a big piece. The quality control at this location is abysmal. I also requested no ketchup because I can't stand it, but instead there was extra ketchup, there was so much it was almost the only thing I could taste. Almost all the ingredients were on one side of the burger, except for that extra ketchup. The burger patty tasted like it was prepared several days ago and was actually pretty hard and dry, and this has happened multiple times. But the worst part was that the burger was half cold, half cool. In the two miles I drove home, it actually cooled the other sandwich in the bag. So maybe you're wondering why I keep giving this place a shot? Coupons. Every once in a while I get a coupon that feels like it's worth it, and also... not every order is bad. Some times it goes well, it's just not often. So to sum up, I get supply issues, I get being short staffed, but dang fire, get it together.
