Texas Roadhouse - Beckley

While traveling to Hilton Head Island, we made an overnight stop in Beckley, WV. We had dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and I was really impressed by the craft beer flight; it was both fantastic and reasonably priced. This was a wonderful stop on our journey!

However, there were some challenges. The cleanliness under the tables and walkways left something to be desired. While the busboys did an exceptional job clearing the tops of the tables, they didn’t seem to address the debris on the floor, which we noticed a few times at adjacent tables. The waiter didn’t offer refills, though he was happy to get them when requested. Another minor issue was that he didn’t clear dishes that were pushed to the edge of the table, which is a bit of a pet peeve for me. Despite these hiccups, I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant experience was disappointing. At a nearby table, some inconsiderate patrons had a loud dog beneath their table. Even our server noted, “service dogs don’t bark,” which was true—this dog clearly didn’t have a service vest and was simply a noisy family pet. I'm baffled as to why this was permitted in a dining establishment. To make matters worse, a stray piece of fluff fell onto our table while we were eating, presumably from that dog. It was quite off-putting. Doesn’t management think about potential pet allergies that future guests at that booth might have, like my wife and son do? I’ve eaten here six to eight times before, but after this visit, I won’t be returning.

Waiter polite,manager came to table and welcomed us for service is excellent. First experience dining perfection beyond. Got folks here and work hard to make dining experience 200%.We will definitely come back to Texas Road House, Beckley WV our home town. Itsis hard to find restaurants with these kind of work ethics. We do not drink alcohol and happy serving that is in a separate location.Thank you all yall for being West Virginia kind of people. Very hard workers.

Our waitress was fantastic. When our appetizer was a little late (not more than a few minutes), she gave it to us for free. Very attentive and just absolutely a sweetie.
