Contribuiți la feedbackI was looking for a brunch/lunch kind of meal to start the day off yesterday and this was one of only a few options in the area. I liked the look of the food and checked it out. It is a very small place, but nice atmosphere and well kept. I got a wolf burger and onion rings. I thought the food was great and the price/value was very good. It filled up fast and I tried to leave quickly so I wouldn't take up a table when others were coming in. I'd go there again, though it sounds like the place is closed for a while to rework some things. Hopefully they figure out whatever they need and the place can open back up in the future.
Thick, delicious, handmade burger patties that don't even need sauce. (They're just juicy enough, but not greasy. Great seasoning on shrimp, walleye, and fries. Good selection of craft beer. Friendly chef--if it's not too busy, ask him about the story of the Lemon Wolf. Just make sure you wait at the front to be seated. Otherwise, the staff might not see you right away and you might wait a while.
We would go out of our way to come to this cafe again. Came in as a group of 10 6 kids) they did not hesitate to accommodate for all of us. The server even cut some grapes for the baby. They gave all the kids treats and offered us free pie because “of the wait of one meal” we didn’t even notice it took longer. We will recommend this cafe to everyone. The owner and server were extremely friendly and talkative :
My wife and I stopped in for a quick bit for lunch, glad we did. I had probably the best burger I've ever had in my life. While we were there we heard another couple discussing how much they loved the soup the were eating. Come to find out it was a white bean chicken chili. We got some to take back to the cabin for dinner that night. Wow it was crazy good...we'll certainly be back next year during out annual trip up to the north shore.
Small cafe serving up homemade dishes in a cozy unassuming space. Soup and salad were exceptional, fresh and flavorful. The entrees were decent, but my fish was average and so full of bones it was nearly inedible, watched another table toss theirs to the side. Rated highly because there is literally nothing else in the area that was open except the dining room at Cove Point Lodge witch didn’t have an opening. Give it a try if you’re in the area, avoid the herring.
