The waitress was fantastic and very patient with my children, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was also enjoyable.

The brie appetizer consists of only half a wheel of brie topped with jam, served with 6 to 8 crustinis. While delicious, it’s quite small, especially if you’re expecting a full wheel of brie. The real highlight of the restaurant is their cocktails, which are some of the most creative and tasty I've ever had. On my next visit, we opted for a booth to celebrate a special occasion but were disappointed when it seemed no one else recognized it as a special event. We received the wrong entrées, and by the time our correct meals arrived, they were lukewarm and had a gluey consistency—not very appetizing at all. Unfortunately, there were no apologies from the staff for the mix-up.

Our drinks were refilled twice before our food arrived, which was just ten minutes before closing at 9 PM. Unfortunately, only three of the meals were delivered, and they were just okay. The ribeye was overcooked and very thin for more than $30, and while it was prepared correctly, the heavy charring made it quite difficult to chew. The other ribeyes were also on the smaller side compared to similar-priced offerings at other regional restaurants. None of the food arrived hot—it seemed to have been sitting for at least 5-10 minutes before it was served. The fourth meal, which had to be recooked after being accidentally dropped, arrived about 15 minutes later. It was piping hot and clearly freshly cooked, but as a filet, it should have been easier to cut. However, it was also overcharred and tough, wrapped in overly blackened bacon, even though it was cooked to the requested doneness. The sides needed more seasoning since everyone at the table ended up adding salt to the mashed potatoes and meat. While the service from our server was slow, the manager or owner was attentive and offered us a complimentary dessert due to the delay with the fourth meal. As we requested, it was delivered to our table to-go since it was past 9:30 PM, and we had now been there for over two hours. In summary, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the prices were comparable to other similar establishments, but the service was notably slow.

My husband opted for the top sirloin, which came with mashed potatoes and carrots that were incredibly sweet. The steak was so tough that he struggled to chew it. They kindly replaced it, but the new steak was only marginally better, and he left half of it uneaten. The dish was listed at Market Price, which turned out to be $25! It seems like the market price in Beatrice is significantly higher than in other towns across Nebraska. Our dining companion ordered the duck, which came with the same sides as the steak. Luckily, the duck was quite good. However, it was also marked at the Market Price of $32! On a positive note, the service was excellent, which is what earned them an additional star.

I enjoyed the special pork shank, accompanied by a Caesar side salad, and finished off with bread pudding for dessert. Everything I had was absolutely fantastic!
