As a long time regular visitor of this pub I can say in recent times it has lifted significantly. The meals have always been Ok but are now brilliant. This new menu has been in for a few months and they have nailed it. Our table of 6 were all amazed and commented best we have had there in years. In particular the Southern Brisket Burger is an 11/10 A slow cooked American South smoked Brisket in a Brioche bun that is simply amazing, came with chips that were perfect. Wine list is also very good and reasonable price for the standard bottles. They also had some beers on an intro special price. Service at the bar and tables is very good. If you are not in the area worth driving up for the Southern burger alone.

I came here with my two young daughters to be told they could not seat us even though the venue was only 1/2 full. Given my kids are young we were never going to be there for a long time, just a meal and leave. We were there at 6.15 and could have been gone by 7.00 to clear the table for the reservation. Disappointed that the staff couldn't see the situation and work us in.

Lovely steak. Good atmosphere. Good pizzas as well. Helpful staff always a friendly smile as a greeting. Play area for the children. Different areas, which can cater for small or big groups.

New menu highly recommended and the brisket burger is wow service a tad slow but all good & polite worth a visit
