Going's Bbq - Baytown

The brisket appeared to be baked rather than smoked. It didn't have a smoke ring or any BBQ flavor. It was quite expensive for such a disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend it. Food rating: 2/5.

The barbecue was decent. The BBQ sauce could use some improvement in terms of flavor. Other than that, the service was good and the food was enjoyable. Rating: 5/5.

The chopped pork sandwich is nearly as excellent as my favorite BBQ spot in the Jacksonville area! I would definitely come back.

We stopped in for a late lunch. So glad we did!!My hubby was looking for some good BBQ and we needed to take a ride. It's probably an hour from where we stayed on Crystal Beach. A nice quiet ride.I had a rib plate and he had the chopped beef sandwich plate. The ribs were falling off the bone tender and well flavored. He loved the mac and cheese and his sandwich was good as well.If you're in the neighborhood, this place can't be topped!!
