Great South Bay Brewery - Bay Shore

I have been to Great Southbay Brewery numerous times and have always had a great experience. Wonderful atomsphere, excellent new menu, and even better beer! My personal favorite was the Watermelon Wheat Ale. The staff is always helpful, friendly and efficient. I highly recommend spending your time at this brewery!

I went to Harry Potter trivia tonight. What a horrible experience. Each round my team got all the questions right and even had to tie breakers requiring us to chug beers to win and won 2/3. On the last round, we were waiting to hear the final score and our name wasn’t announced. We asked the blonde girl hosting why our name wasn’t announced and she stated because a couple of people stated we cheated. She mentioned the table that said something and I approached that table said we didn’t cheat. The table that accused us said that the trivia host told them to watch us since we we were winning every round. I then approached the host and confronted her about the cheating. She said she told the table in front to watch us because “she never saw us before.” The whole reason trivia, bingo etc is held at breweries/bars is to draw a crowd and potential new customers. Meanwhile, I have been going to that brewery for years on the weekends and only went out because it was Harry Potter trivia. I have never been to an establishment that tells a table to look at a particular table for cheating. If the blonde hosting the trivia felt that we were cheating she should have gave a warning, not disqualifying us. Clearly this is a “locals only” spot and do not want new clientele. If you want great trivia, bingo, a working a AC and cold beer that is not served in plastic cups etc, you are better off going to a different location.

Great brewery. Really enjoyed all the options and items in tap. Food was good too. Would recommend. Decently kid friendly too .

A very chic and cool brewery. Came on a Saturday around 1:30 with my cousins, live music and plenty of games to play. I had a Jetty Honey ale, which won a couple awards. Great vibes here

Love this place! Great music, plenty of TVs for watching sports, and excellent service. The bartender recommended the Blood Orange to me, after having a few I had to buy a case to bring home.
