The chef did a freaking fantastic amazing art job on the plate, I thought it was a decorative plate HECK no thatthe Chef's work of art. Totally Amazing
The food was really good! We had the Yamato roll with a filet mignon and lobster entree. For appetizers, their crab Rangoons were good! Service was quick and very attentive. Definitely a date favorite in Bay St. Louis
If I could describe this place with one word it would be UNBELIEVABLE . Everything we ordered was fresh and tasted so delicious and the proportions were great for what they cost. We ordered the Pink Lady Volcano sushi, the kids Hibachi steak meal, thedinner Hibachi Chicken with miso soup and ginger salad, and fried cheescake. Everything surpassed my expectations. The servicewas outstanding too. I fully recommend this place to anyone looking for great Japanese cuisine.
DO NOT AND I REPEAT. Do not go here! Not only do they steal your money you do not get your food. I had done a online order., called and paid over the phone because my daughter was going to pick it up. Not only did they give my order to someone else theynever made what I ordered. Never refunded my money. When I called to speak to them about it they kept saying they didn't chargeme. When I'm literally sitting here staring at my checking account saying yes they did asking for a email to forward the chargeproving yes they did. They never called me back to fix this. Not reputable. Told me I had to correct this when they were theones that screwed up. This isn't the 1st time it happened either. I figured couldn't happen twice. But 3 times. Come on now.When you turn around and try to say you ordered somewhere else. No. Especially when the charge is in your name. You call therestaurant and pay over the phone. Not to mention the lady on the phone us a snot and rude who will not let you talk and explainthe situation. Glad I didn't eat there now. . Save yourself the headache. Go somewhere else!
At that point, my wife decided to cancel her order. I asked to speak with the manager, who offered to remove her meal from the bill. I specifically asked her if my wife could wait for her sushi to be remade for free, and she confirmed that it would be. Eventually, her correct meal came out, but when the bill arrived, it still included her meal. I informed our server that the manager had said it would be taken off. The manager returned to our table and clarified that she meant it would only come off if my wife canceled her order. I didn’t need her agreement on that; if we were canceling, I certainly wouldn’t pay for it! At that point, she agreed to take 50% off my wife’s meal. I told her that was not what we had agreed upon, but she insisted that was all she could do. I agreed but told her we wouldn’t be returning, to which her response was simply, "OK." When I checked the bill, I noticed I was charged $18.95 for my entrée instead of the correct price of $15.95. I pointed this out to my server using the menu, and she adjusted it back to the correct amount. It’s unbelievable that they would try to charge us extra after already applying a discount to my wife’s meal. I understand that mistakes happen and that service can sometimes be slow, but I expect businesses to take responsibility for their errors and, more importantly, to keep their promises and be honest with their customers. I will never return to Yamato, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
