Sapphire Restaurant & Pub - BAY BULLS

Highly recommend this cute place. So many delicious flavours and variations from cones, sundaes, milkshakes to ice cream sandwiches.

Cool place for a beer and pool but they stopped serving food in 2018. If you want food the Captain’s Table and Fork Restaurant are great choices and within a 5 min drive. Whale House Guest House is a good spot for coffee and a comfortable bed with a view.

This cozy pub is no longer serving food, but it does offer a pool table and outdoor seating area.

I have a serious love for Fish Chowder, and Clayton, the owner of Sapphire, makes the best Seafood chowder I've ever had. The restaurant is a charming pub-style spot in Bay Bulls with a lovely covered patio for dining. The staff are incredibly friendly and down-to-earth, just like most people from Newfoundland. Don't listen to the negative reviews - some people are just impossible to please. My group ended up staying at the Bear Cove Inn that night, also owned by Clayton. We asked him for his chowder recipe, but he jokingly refused to share. Kudos to Clayton for running two successful businesses in the Bay Bulls area. Both Sapphire and the Bear Cove Inn are must-visit spots, earning 5 stars each in my book. Great job, Clayton!

I had an amazing lobster dinner at this restaurant, and went back the next night for a delicious crab dinner. This place is a hidden gem that you shouldn't miss. The food is excellent, well-prepared, with generous portions, and we had a lot of laughs. We will definitely be returning.
