Lake Ave - Battle Lake

I had lunch at Lake Ave Cafe this morning. The eggs were straightforward but well-prepared. The homemade artisanal bread was delicious, and the thick slice of bacon added a nice salty flavor. The coffee was excellent as well!

The restaurant has a spacious yet cozy atmosphere and offers a straightforward classic menu along with some delightful daily specials. The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even though I was on a conference call for most of my visit—they were very understanding and polite! I had a classic ham and cheese sandwich paired with a vegetable beef soup, and both dishes were excellent. The coffee was served in a generous cup, showcasing a true café/dining room style—my cup was never empty! I will definitely be back!

This cafe is a lovely spot for breakfast! The service was attentive and fast, and the food was outstanding!

Great service, delicious food and fun atmosphere! The engraving on the breakfast dish was amazing, and the bread was really good bakery bread.

Awesome place! despite the cook being the only person working when we went, he had me and my friend's order out within like 5 minutes of ordering. highly recommend the eggs benedict and hashbrowns, it has the right amount of saltiness and the hashbrowns are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which is the best way to have them. wonderful service and yummy food!
