Stroubes Seafood And Steak

I frequently visit Baton Rouge for work, and this was my first time dining at Stroubes. The service was excellent, and they had a great selection of wine. The 9oz filet was absolutely delicious, as were the sides. I highly recommend starting with the warm Brie - it was fantastic! I can't wait to return for another dinner at Stroubes.

My husband and I were the only customers in the restaurant. The waitress left to check if our bottle of wine was available, which took about 5 to 10 minutes. When she returned with the wine, it took her another five minutes to bring us wine glasses. The salad had an excessive amount of dressing, enough for three salads. My husband ordered the pork chop, which was excellent, and I ordered the fish, which was decent. However, considering the upscale setting of the restaurant, I did not feel that the value matched the experience.

Everything about our Easter visit was exceptional! Food, service and atmosphere were all great. I highly recommend Stroubes for upscale dining downtown.

Service was very poor for what is to be a high end steak house. Don’t order the steaks. You can buy a better cut of meat at Cosco and the cooks really don’t know how to cook a steak

Hostess was very nice., we were sat very close to reservation time. Then waited almost 45 min to get water to then wait 2 hours to get entrees, 4 steaks , the 2 $50 ribeyes were tough and chewy , the 2 filets were good but not hot. AuGratin Potatoes were not cooked. Creamed spinach and Brussels were great. Lamb lollipops were very good. The bartenders at the bar were very nice. I just wish the waiter could have managed our table better but as for the food it was not worth the $400 bill.
