Louie's Cafe - Baton Rouge

We stopped at this charming little diner on our way to New Orleans, conveniently located near the college. The staff was somewhat friendly, which I can understand since it was about 45 minutes before closing time. One delightful feature is that they offer to make animal-shaped pancakes for kids, which was a wonderful touch!

Best breakfast diner in town! The hash browns are fantastic—make sure to add cheese or other toppings. They offer both pancakes and waffles! There’s a wide variety of omelets, including seafood options, as well as breakfast combo meals featuring steak, chops, and my personal favorite, chicken-fried steak. Don’t miss the BEST sandwich, which includes bacon, eggs, sprouts, and tomatoes. Honestly, they serve one of the best burgers in town, alongside many other great lunch options. Plus, you can enjoy a bottomless cup of coffee. There are plenty of fresh and delicious choices for lunch as well!

This place has the cozy vibe of a small family café, which is wonderful! The food was tasty, and I really appreciate that you can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner whenever you visit. My family and I will certainly return if we find ourselves in Baton Rouge again.

1. The restaurant was dirty and sticky. 2. We waited an hour and a half for food that was cold, burnt, and undercooked. I ordered a combo, but because the pancakes were undercooked, I told them take it off of the check, and I ended up paying morebecause they messed up. 3.The waiter could not get our separate chacks correct, and that was another 30 min we waited for that.If I could give 0 stars, i would.

I visited Baton Rouge and had breakfast at Louie's Cafe three times. This diner has a lively college atmosphere, which adds to its charm. However, large groups might experience longer wait times. My...
