Great store. Everything you need. Great meat and wine options.
I was drawn in by the fresh sushi and the sit-down dining experience offered at this restaurant. The market had an upscale atmosphere, enhanced by handwritten signs labeling each section. The food looked mostly organic and locally sourced, making it visually appealing. The prepared dishes looked fantastic, and I was tempted to try the potato soup, but I couldn't find any options cheaper than a small container priced at $7.99. That felt a bit steep for a cup of soup, so I decided to pass. The place seemed to have everything; I even noticed that the milk was somewhat hidden behind a myriad of wine bottles. In the end, I purchased a few items, which were comparable in price to Walmart, and then left. Regardless, my friend and I are planning to return to sample more of the prepared food.
I give five stars for the king cakes and the exceptional service we received from the ladies at the counter. They assisted us in selecting the finest options and genuinely showed interest in our preferences. The pictures showcase the Strawberry Shortcake and Reese's flavors.
Fridays at this restaurant are a hidden gem for lunch. They serve the best fried fish and shrimp, both priced at $7.99 per pound when ordered with another item. If you choose to only get the fish and/or shrimp, the cost is $9.99 per pound, which is still a fantastic deal. The staff here is among the best in Baton Rouge. If you swing by around 12:15 on Fridays, you’ll likely spot me enjoying a meal. Don’t forget to grab some fresh gelato for dessert to cleanse your palate!
