Albasha Greek Lebanese - Baton Rouge

I used to love coming to this restaurant last year, but recently my experiences have not been as great. I am giving it a lower rating now in the hopes that management will make improvements. During a recent lunch visit, we were informed that we had to order from the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu due to it being a holiday, which was frustrating. The server seemed inexperienced and brought out smaller portions than what we were used to. Many of the servers at this location have been providing poor service lately, as they seem preoccupied with chatting near the kitchen. I hope that the restaurant will work on these issues and improve in the future.

My dining experience was decent, with generously sized portions, but there were some notable issues and inconveniences. They use curly parsley that is difficult to remove (almost like cartilage) and at times the sauces were thin and oily. However, overall it's not too bad of a place, depending on what you order. The gyro wraps and chicken dishes were more consistently good.

We drove out to Lafayette for my daughter's birthday party because Albasha is our favorite restaurant! We were not disappointed. The food was absolutely amazing, the staff was professional and friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and relaxed. Thank you!

Had the chicken shawarma with fries and Lebanese tee. the chicken was dry and crusty brown pieces. hard to chew. pommes were bland and cold until the time I got order (mind you, I was punctual for pick-up service. and even had to wait until they finish my order at the arrival) they have forgotten to give me my garlic sauce for which I paid extra. they tried to eat the meal even more unbearable. dry shawarma and no taste...will not be back.

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have been to. All the dishes are really good. The hummus is delicious.Good service and more than enough quantity.Place is 100% halal even though the serve alcohol.Please note : If you put one bill of 60$ or more then they put 18% gratuity tip by default. Which was surprising for us since we never came across such a thing.
