Baskin-robbins - Bates City

We were just passing through on our way back home to Tennessee, and we received service with a smile, even though it was only minutes before closing time.

The service was fantastic, and the selection of ice cream was impressive. While it's named 31 flavors, I've been to other locations where the ice cream options were quite limited.

The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic.

We noticed that the restaurant was open until 9:30 PM, and the sign on the door confirmed this. When we entered around 8:32 PM, the woman working there informed us that she wanted to close early and that we couldn’t get any ice cream. I pointed out the sign on the door indicating their hours, but she acknowledged it and said she still preferred to close early. It seemed to me that she was just being lazy; all I wanted was a single scoop of ice cream, and I would have tipped her if she had been more pleasant.

Every time we've attempted to visit, the restaurant has been closed. The latest we went was at 9:30 PM, and there were no cars in the parking lot and no lights on inside, indicating they had closed long before. Unless you’re looking to have ice cream for dinner or you're one of the lucky ones who can eat early, it's probably best to get your frozen treats somewhere else.
