Taqueria 95 - Bastrop

Hubby got sick after eating the barbacoa burrito. My taco was dry even though I ordered it with onion cilantro. Our food was really disappointing. Nothing on the taco at all. Don?t recommend the food. The drinks look delicious. Exceed with caution!

Pozole needed salt but after I added it, it was great. Kids liked their pancakes but it was a bit pricey for breakfast. Overall, I?d definitely recommend and I?ll definitely be back

I was on my way home when I spotted the sign for Taqueria 95 and decided to stop in. The service was excellent and efficient, and the prices were reasonable for the size of the tacos. They could benefit from offering sides like pico de gallo and radishes. The Tacos de Lengua were a bit tough; they weren't as tender as I expected. Similarly, the Tacos de Pastor and Barbacoa were also somewhat rough.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The Enchiladas Rojas were extremely dry, and the chicken fajita meat was also lacking moisture. There was no enchilada sauce at all! Instead, they were covered in lettuce, with just a sprinkle of Mexican cheese and a few slices of avocado. It seemed like they used the lettuce to hide the burnt, dry enchiladas without any sauce. Honestly, these were the worst enchiladas I've ever tasted, and they certainly weren't worth the $14 price tag. I won't be returning.

I asked to speak to the owner, but she told me the owner wasn’t there and refused to provide any contact information. Eventually, another staff member came out and asked what I wanted. I told her I wanted the issue resolved, and she bluntly asked how I expected her to do that. I suggested either a refund or a replacement, and she responded that they don’t offer refunds but I could choose something else. To make matters worse, I noticed an unexpected charge on my receipt: the sign listed one price, but I was charged $8.25 plus tax for the fruit cup, with an extra $1.25 added. When I inquired about this, she simply said, “That’s just what it says,” and ignored my concerns. After a long back-and-forth due to the terrible fruit, impolite service, and hidden charges, I finally settled for two aguas frescas. Save yourself the trouble—DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
