El Nuevo Mexico - Bastrop

Excellent atmosphere. Excellent staff. Excellent food. My only complaint would be that the siniest sauce (chipotle was not sharp at all. The salsa had a little warmth so that adding helped. Either way, it still tasted amazing.

I absolutely adore the tortilla soup at this restaurant and always make sure to order it whenever I visit. It is incredibly hearty with delicious chunks of vegetables and a delightful little corn cake that is sweet and flavorful. Unfortunately, I couldn't resist eating the corn before I could take a picture. Their margaritas are served in square-stemmed glasses, adding a unique touch to the experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they now recognize us when we come in. Pauline was especially fantastic today. The restaurant is vibrant and inviting, clean and currently operating at full capacity.

A cashier recommended this place as her favorite Mexican restaurant in Bastrop. And she was right - the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was an eclectic mix of Mexican, Oriental, Indian, and more. The waiter was attentive and gave great suggestions.

The service and food at this restaurant were excellent. You can't go wrong here.
