Vignaioli Contra Soarda

My wife and I are driven up the mountains in Veneto for an aperitivo, an aperitivo is a pre-meal drink; the experience of aperitivo is a cultural ritual. Typical aperitivo fare includes crackers, olives, meats, cheeses, and bread. If you have ever enjoyed a salumi-and-formaggi board with a glass of wine you must visit Vignaioli Contra Soarda. Excellent selection of local wines, both red and white, I highly recommend the cutting board with cheeses and salami. Excellent location with panoramic views.

The location is stunning right in a vineyard with great views on to the surrounding mountains. The wine is a bit overpriced for what it is in particular the older vintages of the red. The food was good, I had the special carbonara as a starter which was excellent and then the liver Venetia which was not so special after all. But, the worst was the service. Our waiter, Daniel, was great, but the daughter of the owner was very unfriendly and the wife of the owner had better things to do than let us pay our bill. No apology or anything simply let us stay there and watch her making some booking adjustments even though we reminded her nicely that we were ready. They must be making so much money that they simply do not care any longer about guests.

Definitely a good place to drink wine with some friend enjoying the views. Not that good about dinner, the price is a little higher than its quality.

Ci vado con mia moglie perché ci piace molto questo posto, io mi prendo sempre lo shindy e lei il rosé, a nostro parere molto buoni. Lo consiglio sia per coppie ed anche per gruppi di amici.

Sono stato per la prima volta con amici per poter degustare un buon vino e vedere il tramonto presso questa graziosa cantina/azienda agricola.Bisogna parcheggiare a pochi metri dall'ingresso per evitare multe e/o rimozioni forzate, l'atmosfera è molto piacevole, la gente pure, il mio giudizio tuttavia non è completamente positivo per due Bisognerebbe ad orario aperitivo assumere almeno un paio di persone in più per la zona vino/food in modo da gestire al meglio il flusso di persone che Le bottiglie dovrebbero costare qualcosa in meno in quanto vengono prodotte direttamente da loro, i prezzi sono da bar con ricarico annesso.
