The food was incredible! Everything was warm, with a crispy crust, and clearly made fresh. I loved it!

I had this pizza last night, and it was the best I've ever had! I'm usually not a big fan of the crust or the pizza itself; I typically just eat the toppings. But this pizza was incredible!

Why do the reviews for this place seem low? I visited for the weekend from LA, and I always like to explore the local scene when I travel. The security staff was extremely friendly, the bartenders were lovely, and the service was fast. This place truly deserves a rating closer to 5 stars—let's help bring it up!

Fun spot! I found the staff to be very friendly, and I didn't experience any issues with security, unlike some other reviews. My only frustration came from a guy and his girlfriend at the bar who kept giggling at me while I tried to enjoy the jukebox. I thought it would be a great idea to get the party started by putting in five dollars. Unfortunately, moments after I did, this guy pulled out his Samsung Galaxy 19 and took over the jukebox. Apparently, if you pay to use the jukebox, you can choose songs from your phone and override other people's selections. That’s exactly what he did for my whole visit. I don’t mind sharing the playlist, but when you and your girlfriend push my songs to the 2 AM slot just to laugh at me, that’s just not cool. Lesson learned: DO NOT PUT $5 in the jukebox! In this day and age, there always seems to be a way for someone to ruin the fun and leave you feeling like a fool. Other than that, The Pines Bar is great! Cheers!

My dad and I arrived on a Wednesday afternoon around 4 PM, and we were served promptly within minutes. We quickly struck up a conversation with some locals as the friendly bartender poured me a Buffalo Trace and my dad a Coors Original. We only planned to enjoy a quick drink while the kids indulged in pizza and ice cream nearby. To our delight, it turned out to be Happy Hour, and since our bill came to $10.75, we decided to leave a $5 tip for our bartender. One of the things that keeps me coming back is the chance to sit at the same bar where Dan Aykroyd and John Candy filmed scenes for the John Hughes classic, The Great Outdoors. I’ve included some photos of the movie stars that are displayed at the Pines Bar. This is definitely a place you shouldn't miss, and when you visit, be sure to take your own pictures to preserve those Great Outdoors memories!
