Restaurant Pizzeria Gundeli Casino

I come here quite often for lunch, the place is always packed and their Pizzas are really good. However, the other food is average. Really average. not good, not bad, just not excellent. The staff is nice in my opinion, however some colleagues of mine are a bit annoyed by them (the staff can be a bit rude at some times). price-service ratio is good. I would recommend for lunch, but not for dinner. go for a Pizza, they are great.

We ate here on a warm Saturday evening, when the centre of Basle was throbbing with tourists. The square is relatively quiet, very convenient for the 15 and 16 trams, and not too far from the railway station. The prices are very competitive, and the choice of pizza or à la carte dishes reasonable. Each day there is a set of specials Saturday was pork, in six separate forms I had the escalope with orange sauce, which was well cooked and generous. The wine was good too. For a well frequented local experience away from the tourist centre of town, this has much to commend it.

Very fine pizza, good thin teig, generously occupied, hot arrived.

The desert was not what I had ordered. the rest was ok
