Mod's Thai House - BASALT

Warning to parents with children! We drove from Snowmass, which was 20 minutes away, to this restaurant. The server was unfriendly from the moment we arrived. As we were eating, the owner came by three times in the first 10 minutes to inquire if our 16-month-old daughter would remain quiet. She was just playing in her high chair and not causing any disturbances. The owner even offered her candy, which we declined due to her young age. Then she suggested getting her a screen, which left us puzzled. After just a few bites, we asked for our meal to be packed up and left. This was a terrible experience! Restaurants like this should make it clear if they are not child-friendly to avoid any confusion.

Great food. The red curry was perfectly spicy. The service was a little slow but worth it.

She was only playing in her high chair and not crying or making a fuss. She wanted to offer her candy which we refused given her age. She then asked if she could get her a screen. We were confused as to what the issue was. We asked to pack our meal after a couple bites and left. Horrible experience!!! Such places should advertise that they are not toddler friendly in order to be transparent.

Very cute place with a lovely staff. The family's kids help out as servers and do a fantastic job on top of the delicious food. Zero complaints! I love the comfy vibes.

Good food, clean and welcoming place. Employees are all super friendly and efficient. Especially my dude Patrick? he greeted us, sat us and helped wait on us. Patrick is one of the main reasons we will be returning. What a cool kid!
