Sharrow bay is a beautiful herren house with a beautiful view and the legendary sticky fabric pudding. our three course lunches were cooked to perfection, then we finished our meal with petit four and coffee on the terrace overlooking the lake. If they are lucky, they can even see a chinook or fighter aircraft.

We were here a few weeks ago and had been here a few years ago. Sadly the food was simply not up to the same standard. It was okay, but not great. The rooms are comfortable and generous in size. Or at least ours were. The whole place really needs some money spending on it to bring it up to date as still slightly 80's, which was possibly the average age of the guests! However, the staff working here could not have been nicer or more helpful.

Excellent food that is well presented with good combinations of flavours, accompanied by top class, well-chosen wines. It's served in the elegant surroundings of a classic country house styled hotel, and we definitely plan to return!

An absolute gem of a place, the views are amazing, the room we had was fantastic. What I need to point out is the food and wine, my wife and I go to quite a few nice places around the world eating and drinking, this food was exceptional and I cannot understand why they don't have a Michelin !! The wine list is extensive the staff are amazing. We had beauty treatments by ICON while we were there and I actually dozed off during my Indian head massage, one of the best ever . Some people may find Sharrow Bay expensive but for all the places I've been to, this extremely well worth the money.
