We had a fantastic night out! The barmaid was incredibly polite, and we thoroughly enjoyed the games of pool.

Absolutely fantastic food. My husband had the pork chop which he was raving about for some time after. I decided to have the option of three starters with chips.... all were delicious but there was far too much food for me!!! Eyes greedier than belly!! A few nights later, we went in on spec hoping for a table. The place was buzzing as it was a Friday night, but the lovely young man on the bar managed to find us a table where we indulged in the best fish and chips I've had in YEARS! All washed down with a couple of pints of Black Sheep, and the fish and chips were on 2 for 1!!! Highly recommend this pub. Great staff, fabulous food and an excellent choice of beers. Only went for food. So can’t comment about other things. Really enjoyed the meal. Felt service was a bit disjointed. While staff were lovely there was no direction. Got meals before cutlery and silly things like that. Told we were too late for a dessert after eating the mains and then asked by another girl if we wanted a dessert. Had a fabulous pork chop. Dessert was lovely as well. Heard they’d lost two key staff so perhaps that was why service wasn’t on par with the food. Will definitely go back. Food was so good anything else was forgiven.
