Premises lovely and clean. First time we’ve visited a Turkish restaurant found the food tasty and well presented. Everything lovely and fresh. Will be recommending to family and friends.
Today was the first visit since it reopened as a cafe/restaurant. Serving breakfast, snacks main meals. We were greeted on arrival by a lovely young man, he was friendly professional. Hubby had a no.1 breakfast, which consisted of 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 slices of black pudding, 2 hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans. I had a no.2 which was 1 of everything no black pudding 2 halves of fried tomatoes, plenty of mushrooms (my favourite) We had 4 slices of toast, 2 cafetières of tea, with a biscuit on the side, then when we had finished the young man brought us a Turkish dessert. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated welcoming. Thank you we enjoyed it will return.
Just finished eating, absolutely fabulous! Not familiar with the area, have come to Barrow in Furness to stay at Abbey House Hotel and fancied somewhere to eat. Found it easily. We had cheese garlic mushrooms and battered prawns to start. Just yum. With fresh salad and lovely dips. Sharing platter of lamb and chicken followed. Every mouthful delicious. You really won’t be disappointed. If we travel north again, will definitely call back. Thank you!!!!
Food was really nice, service was good. Waitress very attentive. We were the only people dining in on a Monday at 5pm, would have been more atmosphere had there been other diners but did not detract from the food.
We were staying in Barrow and could not get into the Italian we had seen on trip advisor, so called into Izgara on a Sunday evening and so glad we did. We chose the meat platter, which consists of any two starters, followed by a platter of mixed meats with salad and rice. We opted for the melon and feta and yogurt dip as starters, as we thought these would be less filling, but tasty. They were a delicious starter and the meat platter succulent and plentiful. This set menu was £45 for the two of us and was worth every penny. We are so sorry that we are visitors and so cannot frequent this establishment on a regular basis you lucky Barrow people! Service was excellent, not rushed take your time and enjoy!
