The Local Gastropub - Barrie

This is one of our favourite places. The staff are wonderful, the food is good, and the prices are reasonable. If you like beer, there's always a good selection of craft brews. The cauliflower wings are fantastic and so are the curries. The toffee pudding was a really nice surprise: moist and very tasty.

Food was decent enough. Not busy esp for game day. Very good service. Had the fish and chips which were excellent. They make their own tartar sauce and ketchup which I thought was mediocre. I ordered their recommended baked Caesar salad though which frankly tastes like hot soggy Caesar salad returned. Gf had the vegan special of the day which was a lentil shepard's pie which oddly came sans potato/other topping. It was ok but a bit dry though. Nice that they always have a vegan option though. Salad was really well done so ordered another. Dessert was hot toffee pudding which amazing! Nice selection of beers and tea. Had the Jays ACLS game 5 on on their sole TV. It's not a go to for me but I'd go back if in the neighbourhood.

Great Food! Great Beer! Great Place!. We needed a place for Lunch and this place looked great. The food was good and their policy of using only craft beer and local ingredients makes for great food!<br/ <br/ Eet Smakelijk!

Second Time Great. This was my second time going and I had the special which was deep fried meat lasagna with a spinach salad. It was amazing and was 13.50. I'll be back!

Top notch Pub. Small but well done, high quality menu with two amazing salads. Caesar salad is baked with asiago cheese, fresh ingredients and homemade dressing.
