Ripe - Barrie

Now that I know what juicing is supposed to taste like, I can't bring myself to even look at my juicer again.

Not sure why I've never sat down to review Ripe considering I'm a regular customer!I have tried pretty much all the juices offered as well as the nut mylks and I've never had one that I didn't love! I've also done 1 juice cleanse (Green run) and it was delicious, just hard for me to keep up with because I'm not used to drinking so many fluids in a day. Shortly after they introduced the half day cleanse, which would probably be better for myself. The staff here are always so amazing and helpful and I highly recommend them! If you ever need help they're all very knowledgeable about their products.Favourite Juice: Recovery Lemonade (I love sour things!)Favourite Smoothie: Yoga Warrior Keep up the great work! A faithful customer right from the beginning, I love this place. I have tried most of the smoothies and all the juices and it keeps me coming back for more. Of course some taste more delicious than others, but knowing that they are healthy and good for you is important. I have done the cleanses a few times and feel great afterwards. Great branding, service and convenient location, the only drawback is that they are pricey.

Tasted 2 smoothies which were 50% ice, flavourless and too thick. Nicely decorated and clean. Normal staff but not smiley. Too expensive for what it was.

Among a village of burger joints and fries, I was pleasantly surprised to see a juice place in downtown Barrie.I had my share of greasy food and bad sushi for the weekend and tried out this place. The juice (what I ordered) was not drinkable. The description wounded delicious save for one ingredient: cayenne. It listed grapefruit, orange, and one other juice-- sounds good so far. But then it listed a pepper. I inquired about it and the girl behind the counter said it has "kick" but by no means it is spicy.So I buy it-- I think it came to $5? Anyway-- took a sip and nearly spat it out. It was sour-- as if it was pure acid with zero natural sugars. And the "kick"-- that was no refreshing at all. I love spicy food but on a hot day when I was something cool, their quenching and healthy-- a spicy juice isn't what I wanted.I can't speak to their other juices or list of salads.I would be willing to give it one more try but for now my honest review would have to remain as is.
