JJ's Caribbean Cuisine - Barrie

Hi, all we usually purchase from here are our side dishes for example Pouting or Fries and Gravy. The food is always Hot, their is more than enough and the Price is very good. I will eat here again.

The value here is incredible. You will never finish your $10 meal, and it is oh so tasty. Ive had the herk chicken roti about 4 times, the chicken curry roti once and the goat curry dinner once. Each was authentic Jamaican deliciousness. Take out is better as restaurant isn't mich to write home about.

On two occasions in the past few weeks, I have stopped into JJ's as I was craving rice and beans. The first time, I ordered the bigger $10.00 meal, which comes with a good portion of jerk chicken, rice and coleslaw. The second time I ordered the medium portion for $8.00 and it was just right. Both times, the food was very tasty. Also on both occasions, the service was fast and the servers were very friendly.

The roti at JJ's is very flavourful, though as others have noted, it's a little skimpy on the chicken and heavy on the potatoes! Located in the older part of Allandale, JJ's gives a great Caribbean option to Barrie's cuisine pallet. For $10 plus taxes, you jus the want a little extra protein in your roti. However, the mild curry really appealed to the wife and filled us up. The peppa sauce has a good amount of zip that you will want a drink nearby to enjoy. The service is friendly and laid back. JJ's Caribbean Cuisine is a solid option for some island flare and flavour!

Same as above review. Ordered chicken roti & it barely had any chicken. Just a few small shredded pieces. Just full of large chunks of potato, & lots of that.I've had roti at many places & I've never seen SO little chicken or so much potato. & the roti itself fell apart, not ideal. Goat curry was good.
